Aerobavovna is a Ukrainian defense-tech company, founded in 2023 and headquartered in Kyiv. The company develops tethered aerostat systems—large helium-filled balloons equipped with surveillance, communication, and drone signal relay capabilities. Their products are used by the Ukrainian Armed Forces, Special Operations Forces, Border Guard, and National Guard to enhance battlefield situational awareness and secure communication. Yuriy Vysoven, co-founder and CEO, leads the company’s innovation in electronic reconnaissance and airborne monitoring platforms. Aerobavovna has produced over 50 aerostat systems and conducted more than 200 successful launches in operational conditions.

Details

Aerobavovna builds tethered aerostats to elevate communication, surveillance, and counter-drone capabilities on the battlefield.

The systems include:

-Mobile aerostats: Deploy in 5–15 minutes, stay aloft for up to a week, carry 25 kg payloads to 1 km altitude, and serve as FPV and radio signal repeaters.

-Heavy-lift aerostats: Support 25–30 kg payloads with onboard power for SIGINT, EW, and long-range communications; deployment takes about 30 minutes.

-Counter-drone role: Adapted to detect and intercept threats like Shahed UAVs, using thermal sensors and serving as platforms for interceptor drones.
