About

The Dragon Sky UAV Training and Research Center is a Ukrainian organization established on May 22, 2023, originating from the volunteer-based Kazhan FLY UAV piloting school. Created with the support of aviation and security structures within Ukraine’s Ministry of Internal Affairs and National Police, the center was designed to provide advanced training and research capabilities in the field of unmanned aerial systems. Since its founding, Dragon Sky has rapidly developed into a comprehensive training hub, preparing thousands of specialists in UAV piloting, engineering, and aerial reconnaissance, while also contributing to the broader development of drone technologies and operational methods.

Unlike traditional training institutions, Dragon Sky combines education with active research and battlefield integration. Its structure includes experienced instructors, engineers, and combat-experienced UAV operators who contribute to the continuous development of training programs. The center emphasizes practical, hands-on learning, offering specialized courses such as FPV drone deployment in combat conditions, aerial reconnaissance, and UAV engineering. In addition to training, it maintains a technical and experimental base for testing new equipment, including electronic warfare and signal intelligence systems, allowing it to adapt quickly to evolving battlefield requirements.

Drone usage is at the core of Dragon Sky’s operational and educational approach. Trainees are taught to operate reconnaissance UAVs for surveillance, intelligence gathering, and coordination with ground units, as well as strike drones for precision engagement of enemy targets. The center places particular emphasis on FPV drone tactics, including their deployment in contested environments affected by electronic warfare. Through its integration of training, research, and real-world combat experience, Dragon Sky plays a significant role in advancing Ukraine’s unmanned warfare capabilities and preparing highly skilled operators for modern, technology-driven combat.
