About

The Dronarium Academy is a Ukrainian training and research platform specializing in unmanned systems, with its origins dating back to 2014, when its team initially focused on civilian drone applications such as aerial photography, infrastructure monitoring, and geodesy. Following the start of the full-scale invasion in 2022, the organization rapidly shifted toward military needs, becoming one of the key training centers for UAV operators within Ukraine’s defense ecosystem. Since then, it has trained a large number of drone pilots who apply their skills in real combat conditions, establishing it as one of the most influential institutions in the country’s drone sector.

Dronarium Academy operates as a comprehensive ecosystem that combines education, research, and technological development. Its structure includes instructors with real combat experience, engineers, and analysts who continuously adapt training programs based on frontline requirements. The academy provides a wide range of courses covering UAV piloting, FPV systems, aerial reconnaissance, mapping, as well as work with ground and underwater robotic platforms. In addition to training, it maintains its own testing and development capabilities, allowing it to experiment with new technologies and respond quickly to evolving battlefield demands.

Drone usage is central to the academy’s mission and curriculum. Trainees are taught to operate reconnaissance UAVs for surveillance, intelligence gathering, and artillery adjustment, as well as strike drones for precision engagement of enemy targets. The academy also emphasizes advanced areas such as electronic warfare, counter-UAV tactics, and emerging drone technologies, reflecting the complexity of modern combat. Through its integration of training, research, and practical experience, Dronarium Academy plays a major role in strengthening Ukraine’s unmanned capabilities and preparing highly skilled operators for modern, technology-driven warfare.
