About
Fire Point is a Ukrainian defense technology company founded in 2022 by a group of engineers, designers, and specialists who turned their attention to long-range strike drones and missiles in response to Russia’s full-scale invasion. The firm is based in Kyiv, Ukraine, and has rapidly grown from a small start-up to a major domestic defense producer, expanding from fewer than 20 employees in early 2023 to thousands by 2025. Fire Point is known for designing and manufacturing the FP-1 deep-strike drone, capable of flying over 1,400 km with a combat payload, and the FP-2 mid-range strike UAV, both optimized for autonomy and resilience under electronic warfare. The company has also developed the FP-5 “Flamingo” cruise missile with an extended range reportedly up to around 3,000 km and is working on further missile and air-defense systems within its product portfolio. Fire Point conducts much of its own research and development, produces solid rocket fuel and propulsion components in-house, and adapts its platforms to operational feedback from frontline units. Its systems have been used by Ukrainian forces in long-range precision strikes, and the company continues to scale production and expand capabilities both domestically and through planned facilities abroad.
Products:
-
FP-1 Deep-Strike UAV — A long-range strike unmanned aerial vehicle designed for deep-penetration missions. It is capable of carrying a significant combat payload over extended distances and operates using autonomous navigation systems that allow it to function in environments affected by electronic warfare. The platform is built with lightweight composite materials and optimized for endurance, stability, and precision targeting at strategic ranges.
-
FP-2 Mid-Range Strike FPV Drone — A tactical strike UAV intended for operational and frontline use. Compared to long-range systems, it balances payload capacity and maneuverability with shorter operational range. It is designed for precision engagement of fortified positions, equipment, or logistical targets and incorporates reinforced airframes and resistant control systems.
-
FP-5 “Flamingo” Cruise Missile — A ground-launched long-range cruise missile platform developed for stand-off strikes against high-value targets. It uses autonomous guidance and terrain-following navigation concepts to reach distant objectives while carrying a heavy warhead. The system emphasizes extended range capability and strategic strike potential.
-
Autonomous Guidance and Navigation Systems — Integrated flight control, inertial navigation, and anti-jamming modules developed for both UAVs and missile platforms, designed to maintain course accuracy even in GPS-denied or electronically contested environments.
-
Solid-Fuel Rocket Propulsion Systems — In-house developed rocket motors and propulsion components used in cruise missile platforms and potentially in extended-range UAV configurations. These systems focus on reliability, thrust stability, and scalable production.
