About
IRON Cluster is a Ukrainian defense technology organization based in Lviv, Ukraine, founded in 2023 to strengthen the country’s private military technology sector. The cluster unites more than 100 companies, startups, engineers, and investors working on advanced defense solutions. It was created to accelerate innovation, improve industrial cooperation, and help scale battlefield-tested technologies into sustainable production capacity.
The organization is led by CEO Volodymyr Cherniuk, under whose leadership IRON Cluster has become one of Ukraine’s most active regional defense industry networks. The cluster connects entrepreneurs, manufacturers, military users, investors, and public institutions in order to speed up development and deployment of modern military technologies.
Member companies work in sectors such as drones, robotics, secure communications, electronics, software, AI systems, radio technology, and autonomous platforms. IRON Cluster supports these businesses through networking opportunities, investment attraction, product testing, international exhibitions, and export development. It also helps new startups enter the defense market through mentorship and cooperation programs.
A key objective of the cluster is transforming wartime innovation into long-term industrial strength. Many Ukrainian solutions are developed quickly to meet front-line needs, and IRON helps move these products from prototype stage to reliable serial production. This contributes to stronger domestic supply chains and greater self-sufficiency in defense manufacturing.
IRON Cluster is also expanding international cooperation with European partners and investors, helping position Ukrainian defense technology as an increasingly important part of the wider European security and industrial ecosystem.
