About

The Honcharenko Center Ivano-Frankivsk runs an educational drone initiative aimed at developing UAV skills among young people in western Ukraine. In 2023, the center launched a free UAV operator school that teaches students aged 14–18 the fundamentals of drone flight, control systems, and real-world applications of UAVs. The program blends classroom instruction with simulator-based training and hands-on piloting of FPV drones, reflecting the growing role of unmanned systems in Ukraine’s defense and civilian sectors. Through this project, the Honcharenko Center promotes technological literacy, responsible drone use, and early professional orientation toward engineering and defense innovation.
