About

The KRUK UAV Operator Training Center is a Ukrainian organization established on April 6, 2022, in response to the urgent need for qualified drone operators during the early phase of the full-scale invasion. Created by Viktor Taran and a team of experienced instructors, the center was designed to provide rapid, practical training for both military personnel and civilians transitioning into operational UAV roles. From its inception, KRUK has focused on delivering intensive, hands-on instruction aimed at preparing operators for real-world combat conditions.

Under the leadership of Viktor Taran, the training center has developed structured programs that combine theoretical knowledge with extensive field practice. Its curriculum covers drone piloting, reconnaissance techniques, target acquisition, and coordination with artillery and ground units. The emphasis on realistic training scenarios and adaptability has enabled KRUK to prepare a large number of operators capable of integrating quickly into active combat units.

A defining feature of the KRUK UAV Operator Training Center is its strong focus on modern drone warfare. Trainees are instructed in the use of reconnaissance UAVs for intelligence gathering and battlefield surveillance, as well as strike drones, including FPV systems, for precision engagement of enemy targets. The center also emphasizes coordination between drone operators and other combat elements, ensuring effective communication and rapid response in dynamic environments. Through this approach, KRUK plays a significant role in strengthening Ukraine’s drone capabilities, contributing to the development of a technologically proficient and combat-ready force.
