About

MaXon Systems is a Ukrainian defence-tech startup founded in early 2025, developing an autonomous air-to-air defence system designed to intercept hostile drones. The company was founded by Oleksii Solntsev and operates as part of Ukraine’s “Brave1” defense innovation cluster. Their system combines high-speed interceptor UAVs (capable of around 300 km/h), aerostat or ground launch platforms, onboard detection and targeting hardware, and predominantly Ukrainian-built components. The system is already undergoing combat trials in the Kyiv and Chernihiv regions, with MaXon estimating that a deployment of 20-25 units could provide air defence coverage for the capital city.
