About

Project Eagle is a defense technology initiative focused on developing autonomous and AI-enabled drone systems for modern warfare. The project was created by former Google CEO Eric Schmidt and involves engineers and specialists recruited from major technology and aerospace companies such as Google, Apple, and SpaceX. Its goal is to build scalable, low-cost unmanned systems capable of reconnaissance, interception, and strike missions.

The initiative operates through several associated companies and projects, including Merops, Swift Beat, Aurelian Industries, and Volya Robotics, which work on different aspects of drone development and production. Project Eagle systems are tested both in the United States and in Ukraine, where they are evaluated in real operational conditions and adapted to counter threats such as loitering munitions and attack drones.
