About

RIY Drone Project is a Ukrainian engineering initiative based in Uzhhorod, Zakarpattia Oblast. Founded around late 2023 under the leadership of Volodymyr Suran, the project focuses on the design and production of tactical and strike UAVs for frontline use. The team gained recognition for developing the “Horhona” bomber drone, capable of carrying up to five kilograms of explosives and returning to base after a mission. Over the course of its operation, the project has produced hundreds of drones for Ukrainian defense units, emphasizing durability, digital control systems, and cost-effective manufacturing. RIY Drone Project represents the growing innovation and technical expertise emerging from regional volunteer and defense engineering communities in western Ukraine.
