About
The Ukrainian Council of Defence Industry (UCDI) is a Ukrainian industry association established in 2025 to represent and coordinate the country’s private defense manufacturers. Based in Kyiv, the organization was created to strengthen cooperation between private arms producers, the government, the Armed Forces, and international partners during a period of rapid wartime industrial expansion.
The council is chaired by Oleksandr Kamyshin, with Ihor Fedirko serving as Executive Director. UCDI focuses on improving production capacity, supporting exports, attracting foreign investment, and helping Ukrainian defense companies integrate with European and NATO markets.
Its members include companies involved in drones, armored systems, electronic warfare, ammunition, software, robotics, and other military technologies. The organization also promotes reforms aimed at faster procurement processes and better conditions for private manufacturers.
UCDI has become one of the main representative bodies of Ukraine’s growing private defense sector, helping transform wartime innovation into a structured and internationally connected industry.
