The Vykhor Training Center is a Ukrainian military-oriented UAV academy focused on preparing drone operators for modern combat, operating as part of a broader initiative to strengthen unmanned capabilities within the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Established during the period of rapid expansion of drone warfare, the center serves as both a training and recruitment platform, aimed at equipping personnel with the practical skills required for frontline deployment. Its structure reflects the growing importance of specialized training institutions that can quickly produce capable operators in response to evolving battlefield demands.

The center operates through a flexible and mission-driven framework, bringing together instructors with real combat experience, technical specialists, and coordinators who adapt training programs based on current operational needs. Unlike traditional educational institutions, Vykhor emphasizes intensive, hands-on learning, combining theoretical instruction with simulator-based exercises and real drone flights. This approach allows trainees to gain practical experience in a short period of time, ensuring readiness for integration into active units.

Drone usage is at the core of the Vykhor Training Center’s curriculum. Participants are trained to operate reconnaissance UAVs for surveillance, intelligence gathering, and coordination with artillery and ground forces. In addition, the program includes the use of strike drones, particularly FPV systems, for precision engagement of enemy targets. The training also covers operating in contested environments affected by electronic warfare, as well as basic technical skills such as drone setup and maintenance. Through this comprehensive and combat-focused approach, the Vykhor Training Center contributes to the development of a highly adaptable and technologically proficient force capable of operating effectively in modern drone-centric warfare.
